The site consists of three plots of land on Snowsfields, close to London Bridge. This can be seen on the map below, and includes the current NCP car park, the Miller Pub and neighbouring shops and the neighbouring building at 111 Snowsfields. We are working with existing tenants on plans for their relocation.
The site has been identified as a prime location for the creation of the highly specialised lab space to support the SC1 cluster.
The innovation district has a bold vision to bring public sector partners together with start-ups, founders and innovative businesses, creating a dynamic intersection of health, technology, and data, to optimise health equity, locally and globally.
Guy’s & St Thomas’s Foundation are founding partners of SC1 alongside Guy’s & St Thomas’s NHS Foundation Trust, King’s College London NHS Foundation Trust, South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust and Lambeth and Southwark Councils. The Snowfields Quarter and broader SC1 Innovation District will make a vital contribution to the growth of the Southwark, Lambeth and London economies, generating a wide range of new jobs and opportunities for local people across sustainable and sensitively designed developments whilst fostering public-private partnerships to develop solutions to society’s complex healthcare challenges.
