The three new buildings at Snowsfields will provide specialist laboratory facilities and ground floor uses focused on health, wellbeing, and the community, including:

• A café at the corner of Guy St Park and Kipling Street for residents, the local community and people working in Snowsfields Quarter.
• A new community space with a programme of events and initiatives. We are in discussion with Hoopla Improv Theatre, a local arts & cultural organisation, about partnering on this programme and their potential use of the space for wider benefits such as running classes in public speaking self-confidence and speech.
• Retail units on Snowsfields, similar to those east of Weston Street, continuing retail activity west along Snowsfields.
• Approximately four times more ‘active frontage’ than the site currently has. This includes windows and doors to shops or workspaces, helping to create better streets and make the area feel safer and more active.
• Greener, accessible and more active streets with consistent pavements to improve safety for pedestrians.
