Snowsfields Quarter will be a place in Southwark that tackles global health issues locally, building on hundreds of years of medical innovation and the incredible work already being done by existing medical and academic experts in the area.

It will attract and retain the best companies and talent, cultivate a thriving life sciences ecosystem in Southwark and enhance the wider SC1 Life Sciences Innovation District. Snowsfields Quarter, designed with Allies and Morrison and DSDHA, comprises three new buildings dedicated to research and development aimed at improving health outcomes for local and global communities.

Situated next to Guy’s Hospital and close to King’s College London’s Guy’s Campus, this is a one-off opportunity to provide much-needed commercial laboratory space immediately adjacent to one of the UK’s leading academic and clinical research clusters.

The proposals will provide:

• c. 360,000 sq. ft. of floorspace across three new buildings
• c. 245,000 sq. ft. of specialist laboratory facilities
• Spaces for health, wellbeing, and the community, including exhibition and training facilities

We are creating spaces where the best medical innovators and scientists and companies can work on a range of life sciences research. The buildings have been designed to accommodate companies of different sizes and specialisms and to support start-ups and local businesses. This life sciences research could lead to advancements in medicine, environmental conservation, agriculture and biotechnology. This will support a thriving and diverse life sciences hub.
